He is one of the very few surgeons with a certified post-doctoral (HBNI) fellowship in the field of Gastrointestinal and Hepato-pancreatico-biliary (GI & HPB) cancers, having obtained his postdoctoral degree from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, training under internationally renowned surgeons and oncologists.
He strongly believes in evidence-based and ethical clinical practice, and is an expert in managing all types of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary ailments and cancers — from the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas and bile ducts to the small intestine, colon and rectum.
He performs advanced laparoscopic procedures for various gastrointestinal ailments and cancers and is well versed with robotic surgery, offering patients minimally invasive treatment options wherever clinically appropriate.

He has an expertise in diagnosis, staging and treatment of various varieties of Gastrointestinal and Hepato-pancreatico-biliary cancers including esophageal, stomach, colorectal, liver, gallbladder, pancreatic and bile duct etc.
Apart from the routine surgeries, he also performs advanced laparoscopic procedures for various gastrointestinal ailments and cancers.
He is also trained and experienced in performing cytoreductive surgery and HIPEC for these conditions.
He has exclusive training in management of peritoneal surface malignancies including pseudomyxoma peritonei, colorectal peritoneal metastases.
He has been invited as a speaker and panellist at various conferences.
He is also well versed with Robotic surgery for a variety of gastrointestinal ailments and cancer.
